i’ve been looking for new and exciting social media and came across “posting 2” on my friend Sara’s instagram story. it reminds me of early instagram: one photo per post, no algorithmic feed but a “shuffle” mode to explore public photos and profiles. it seems to have a mostly US crowd but i could see it becoming popular in western european cities like amsterdam, london, berlin, paris etc. having this gut feeling i of course went to see if the username “pizza” was taken. it was. so i created two profiles: @idil and @researcher. add me if you’re on there too.

I have a voicenotes book club with a friend, and we recently finished listening to Life of M. we don’t rate it.
this book is completely of-the-moment. it is literary and memetic: a bonafied gossip column, celebrity blind item, snark page and discourse object all at once. the novel refracts the current pop-western cultural ecosystem which is a loop of clipped content that congeal into a multifractal, unwhole picture of real people’s lives and interiorities. the audiobook is narrated by Cusk, which further thickens the autofictional tone that much of her work and a particular subgenre of 21st‑century literature often relies upon (“women’s writing”).
