Şebnem Ferah is a famous singer-songwriter from Turkey. Dubbed the queen of rock, she is celebrated for her powerhouse vocals and melancholic lyrics. She was one of the first women in rock to achieve mainstream success in Turkey. As a teenager who was really proud of being into niche shit, I used to find her music cringe. I am now an adult and can freely admit that she is a legend. And her music videos from the 1990s are just so Y2K!!!

DEUS EX TRUTH BOMB COMPILATION
Deus Ex (2000) is an action role-playing game set in a dystopian 2052 plagued by… well… a plague, among other terrible things. This video is a compilation of scenes with dialogue where the characters drop '“truth bombs”. These bits of dialogue are at once hilarious and concerning. “Why concerning?” I hear you (and the voices in my head) ask. It’s because these truth bombs are all conspiracy theories that people still repeat and amplify. It’s funny to see that people had the same brainworms in 2000 as they do today.
